The U.S. Air Force, in an official statement, confirmed the incident, highlighting the pilot’s successful ejection and subsequent rescue.

According to the U.S. Air Force, the pilot managed to eject from the aircraft and was promptly recovered by the Republic of Korea Navy. At the time of rescue, the pilot was conscious and in stable condition. Further medical evaluation and assessment of the pilot’s condition will be conducted at the military base.

Colonel Matthew C. Gaetke, commander of the 8th Fighter Wing, expressed gratitude towards the Republic of Korea’s forces for their swift action in rescuing the pilot, who is reported to be in good condition.
